The leaves are changing early this year in Colorado, and the temps are finally cooling down. Photographically speaking, A LOT is heating up! Here’s a quick summary of the exhibitions, courses and more that I’m thrilled to be a part of.

I am pleased to have one of my favorite salt prints on view in this show, curated by Michael Kirchoff. View all the beautiful work online here.
Last year, I was very fortunate to join Bill Schwab and a small group of talented photographers on a trip to Wales. This otherworldly vista in Gwynedd, North Wales, looks out over Bardsey Island in the distance. This dreamlike salt print seems a fitting way to remember Bill and all he generously gave to the photography community.
(S)light of Hand 2026
Photographer’s Eye Collective, Escondido CA
Sept 12 – October 31, 2026

Many thanks to juror Ann Jastrab for including my salt print, Old Bones, in this show! And yes, this tree is the same one featured below in the Small Works exhibit from a very different perspective and time of year.
8x10 Fundraising Auction and Exhibition 2026
Center for Photographic Art, Carmel CA
Sept 17 – October 8, 2026

The CPA auction is a great way to build your photography collection, and support a wonderful organization at the same time. I’ve donated work for many years and love supporting this non-profit org. View the lots and bid today! You can go directly to the listing for my image as well. The auction will end October 8, so plan your bidding accordingly!
This version of Welsh Coastline is rendered smaller in silver gelatin on warm-toned paper. The negative I created for this print was originally intended for a dry plate orotone, and thus the image was not flipped. However, I really liked the tonality of the test print on the Foma paper better than the version on glass. I often explore multiple versions of an image before deciding on the best way to render a series, and the backwards presentation of this one at first annoyed me until I decided to embrace it.
International Small Works 2026
Robert Anderson Gallery, Denver CO
October 2 – December 22, 2026
I’ve photographed this tree many times over the years, and this version best captures the fall feeling, quite literally. Thanks to Wendi Schneider and Ron Landucci for selecting this piece! The thin gampi tissue this image was printed on is super delicate, and took some refining of my process to achieve. The warm color in the background comes from a special blend of genuine gold leaf called moon gold. The platinum print is hinged and suspended over the gilded surface to maintain it’s soft and flowy nature. Here’s a look at the work included in this show, and it’s really wonderful to be showing next to several of my friends.

I have nearly the entire collection of books from this series on my bookshelf, and it’s amazing to be included in the artist pages of her last one.

Travel
This fall, I’m also very fortunate to be going to Japan for a photography workshop led by Xuan-Hui Ng & Masumi Takahashi in collaboration with Nobechi Creative. We’ll be exploring central Hokkaido, and I’ll have some time in Tokyo and Kyoto. It will be my first time in Japan, and I can’t wait to experience the beauty and culture first hand!
